Logistics Solutions, Inc.

Our humble beginnings date back to 1914 when a Columbus, Ohio entrepreneur, John Orestes Brown, bought into the Mackey Drayage Co. Although the first semi-truck was invented 16 years before, it was not yet widely available on a commercial basis, so the firm moved goods from the railroad station to stores in downtown Columbus in horse-drawn wagons. Soon, business was booming for the Brown-Mackey Transfer Co. and one of its first jobs involved moving an entire rail carload of bagged peanuts for a charge of $25.86. Although that seems small by today's standards, the hourly wage at the time was only thirty-five cents an hour!

Since that time, we have remained true to our entrepreneurial heritage, spirit of
innovation and deep commitment to the success of our clients and employees.  This has served us well for more than one hundred years and will continue to be the hallmark of our success into the next century and beyond.
